Russia to cancel grain export ban after the end of September
Russia will not cancel the grain export ban until the end of September 2011, declared Elena Skrynnik, Minister of Agriculture of Russia, on March 25.

On March 24, 2011, the National Commodity Exchange provided regular exchange trades of grains from the state intervention reserve. The Government sold 34.83 thsd tonnes of grains at the general sum of 213.705 mln RUR (7.56 mln USD).

Kernel acquires 71% stake in Ukrros for USD 42m
Kernel, the Polish-listed Ukrainian agricultural group, has acquired a 71% stake in Ukrros, the privately-held Ukrainian sugar producer, Kommersant Ukraine reported. The item cited a statement saying that the deal value was USD 42m. The report said that the vendors were Sergei and Alexander Fedorenko.
