Ukraine: as of June 1, grain stocks exceeded last year's volume by 44%
As of June 1, 2008, at the agrarian enterprises of Ukraine (except small ones) and enterprises, engaged in storage and processing of grain, grain stocks exceeded last year's volume by 44% and totaled 6.7 mln tonnes, up 44% as compared to the same data of 2007, reported in the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
According to the statistics data, as of June 1, wheat stocks at the enterprises totaled 3.5 mln tonnes- up 20% as compared to June 1, 2007.
At that, directly at the enterprises grain stocks by June 1 totaled 1.9 mln tonnes, up 94% as compared to last year, including wheat - 0.7 mln tonnes (up 81%).
