Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko hopes for support of anti-crisis bill by all parliamentary factions.

According to the Head of Government, Ukraine expects to receive a credit to the amount of USD 16.5 billion from the IMF, but adoption of the anti-crisis law in the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday is the necessary condition for a receipt of this support.

Earlier, Ms Tymoshenko said that the IMF considers possibility of granting from USD 3 billion to USD 14 billion for stabilization of the financial situation in the country. Although the amount of the IMF credit was named, a decision about its allocation should be approved by the IMF Directors Council. Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk stated that loans of international monetary organizations will be sent, primarily, to strengthening the banking sector and the foreign exchange market of Ukraine. The Minister noted that it will be possible to send a considerable part of the funds, granted by the IMF, in particular, to capitalization of Ukrainian banks. According to the Finance Ministry, a debt guaranteed by the state to the IMF made up USD 247,911 million as of September 1, 2008, or 1.43 percent of its total amount.
