According to the data of AgriJob, a specialized agency of the Association "Ukrainian agribusiness club", it has been recently a significant growth in demand for candidates on such specialties: agronomists, engineers, technologists and sales managers. Comparing with the previous year, the number of vacancies on these specialties has increased by 75%. The need for specialists is particularly noticeable in Central and Western Ukraine.

"Agribusiness companies are mostly focusing on finding middle-level personnel who are ready to work in the regions, although more often we get orders for searching top managers, directors. It could be difficult to find staff for a top position at the present time, because there are a lot of requirements for these candidates, they must not only have a significant technological or agronomic experience in agricultural business, but also be experienced economists and accountants,"- says Marina Popova, Customer Service Manager of the specialized agency AgriJob (UCAB). According to her words, the salary level of the candidate of this level varies in a considerable range from a few thousand UAH to 4-5 thousand dollars, in average 25% higher than last year. It depends on the experience of the candidate, presence of its own customer base (for sales managers), a significant advantage will be knowledge of a foreign language, especially English or German.

 Although, if we consider such positions as a chief engineer and a deputy director of the elevator, in all regions of Ukraine a proposal for a wage level is almost the same in the range of 10-12 thousand UAH.

 Marina Popova predicts further growth in demand for agricultural specialists of non-economic specialties as well as continued growth in wages in the sector. According to her words, HR-managers of agricultural companies, which cooperate with AgriJob, note that a qualified technician, who will meet their needs could receive a higher salary than the average offer in the labor market for this post. Therefore, the level of remuneration of workers in agriculture is largely dependent on their specialization and relevant experience.
