Russia: spring grain crops are sowed almost on 40% of the planned area
According to the Press-Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, as for May 4, the spring crops are sowed at the area of 17.3 mln ha (35.2% from the plan), up 5.1 mln ha as compared to the analogous data of 2007 and up 6.4 mln ha as compared to the average sowing area in the recent years.
