President requests land moratorium end
During “National priorities” annual press conference President Victor Yushchenko spoke for ending moratorium on land selling, according to the President`s press-office. To V. Yushchenko this moratorium negatively influences effective land use because those land owners who are unable to work on their land have no right to sell it.
President noted however that legal provisions must be introduced which prohibit use of land not for agricultural purposes in result of ownership change. According to V. Yushchenko all necessary steps should be done so that in 2009 moratorium on land selling is stopped. unian.net
