Yugtranzitservis sells the port in Taganrog

One of the main grain traders, "Yugtranzitservis", sells its main port - JSC "Taganrog Shipyard". According to the company, the terminal transships 1 mln tonnes of grain and the same volume of petrol products and is estimated by the company in the sum of $90-120 mln. The representatives of the companies "Base element", "Russneft" and LUKOIL are among the main candidates for the company's share holding. According to the experts, the terminal may be interesting for the petrol companies. At that, they consider that the asset is overestimated by three times.

JSC "Taganrog Shipyard" includes two grain terminals with the total storage capacities of 33.000 tonnes and annual transshipment capacities of 1.2 mln tonnes as well as mazut terminal with the total capacities of 30.000 tonnes and annual transshipment capacities up to 1 mln tonnes.

In 2008 they planned the construction of the second mazut terminal with capacities of 20.000 tonnes and increasing of the transshipment capacities to 1.4 mln tonnes. The port facilities loading totals over 70% at the market average transshipment tariff of 14 USD/t.

According to the experts, Yugtranzitservis would find the buyer for the mazut terminal easier than for the whole port. However they consider the asset cost as much overestimated.
