Ukraine: by the beginning of April the sowing area under spring crops totals 2.43 mln ha
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as for April 1, the sowing area under spring crops totals 2.431 mln ha or 52.8% as compared to April 1, 2007.
In particular, the area under grain and grain legumes (except maize) totals 2.05 mln ha (52.2% as compared to April 1, 2007), including barley - 1.659 mln ha (52.9%).
