One third of the operating expenses of the agrarians are covered by bank loans
According to a survey «UCAB Metrics 2018» conducted by a team of analysts of the Association «Ukrainian Agribusiness Club» in May 2018, 51% of Ukrainian agrarians use bank lending to cover part of their operating expenses.
On average, agricultural producers who use bank loans cover with their help 31% of operating expenses. On the market there is another popular instrument - commodity credit. Every fourth farmer in Ukraine uses him and covers 29% of his operating expenses. There is also such a financing instrument as commodity receipt, but it has not yet gained much popularity on the Ukrainian market. Only 2% of agrarians use commodity receipts to cover operating expenses, and those who use, cover by them no more than 20%.
Also, during the survey, it was found that every fifth Ukrainian agro-producer uses both bank loans and commodity loans to cover operating expenses.
